Detailed itinerary
07:00 The vehicle will pick you up at the meeting point to depart for the Thung Nham Ninh Binh tour, located about 100 km from the capital city of Hanoi. En route, the group will take a rest stop in Ha Nam for breakfast (at your own expense).
09:45 The group arrives at Thung Nham, where you will visit Vai Gioi Cave – a vast space of about 50,000 m2 divided into 3 tiers with magical, shimmering stalactites, likened to "Hell, Earth, and Heaven". Ascending each tier, you will experience different feelings, from the mundane sensations of mortal life with birth, old age, sickness, and death on the Hell tier to an otherworldly sense of transcendence in Heaven.
11:45 The group will have lunch at Thung Nham Restaurant, enjoying local Ninh Binh specialties.
13:00 Afterwards, you will board a boat to visit But Cave, which remains pristine with a mesmerizing system of glittering stalactites. A special feature inside the cave is a natural formation resembling the Buddha sitting beside an underground river, believed to bestow good fortune on visitors.
Continuing the journey, the group will visit Goi Dai Temple, home to the "moving banyan tree"—a banyan tree said from ancient times to have shifted positions 4 times around Linh Than Temple (worshiping Thang Dai Vuong, a talented general under the Dinh Dynasty), with each move estimated to take more than 300 years.
Next, the group will visit the thousand-year-old Duoi Tree growing on a massive rock, celebrated as an ancient tree with a unique, one-of-a-kind shape in Vietnam. You will have free time to stroll around and take souvenir photos in this area.
15:30 The group will visit Thung Nham Bird Park, considered the jewel of Ninh Binh, to observe countless bird species firsthand: storks, herons, whistling ducks, teals, white-rumped shamas, starlings... Notably, this is also a sanctuary for many rare bird species listed in the Red Data Book. The group will admire the magnificent natural landscape bestowed upon this land, gliding beneath the flooded forest canopy to watch flocks of birds returning to their roosts after foraging.
17:00 Return to the boat wharf, board the vehicle, and head back to Hanoi.
19:30 Arrive in Hanoi. The vehicle will drop you off at the original meeting point, concluding the 1-day Thung Nham Bird Park tour. Farewell and see you again!
