Detailed itinerary
07:30 Board the vehicle and depart for Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.
Upon arrival at Phong Nha, you will receive specialized equipment and change into explorer gear, then listen to the regulations and safety guidelines before embarking on the journey across Xuyen Son Lake.
09:00 Tour the first 1.2 km of Phong Nha Cave, after which the boat will take you deeper inside.
Admire the majestic underground river and magical, glittering stalactites, and observe the cave life from the entrance area with shrimp, fish, bats... Beyond the 1.2 km mark, past the last artificial light, the dark zone officially begins.
10:20 Explore the transition dark zone. You will disembark the boat and trek across boulders, narrow passages, and giant stalactites, slowing down over the first 100 meters to admire the magnificent shapes of the rock formations.
11:30 Rest and enjoy a rustic lunch inside the cave.
12:20 Continue heading deeper into the underground river, crossing small streams and swimming across the subterranean river to reach a stunning sandbank, enjoying the feeling of walking on velvet-soft sand. Right here, you will experience a cave sand bath. From this point, the current of the underground river becomes stronger; the guide will set up guide ropes across the river for you to cross safely. Marvel at how the cave chambers suddenly expand wider and soar higher, where dim light blends with the mystical mist created by the cool temperatures, creating an ethereal, otherworldly atmosphere. This is Huyen Khong Cave.

15:20 Retrace your steps along the original route, continuing on to visit the stunning Bi Ky Cave, Tien Cave, and Cung Dinh Cave.
16:00 The boat picks you up to return to the Phong Nha boat station. Then board the vehicle to return to the drop-off point.
