2:30 PM: The tour guide will meet you at your hotel in Hoi An City Center and begin the Hoi An City tour.
First, you will visit the bustling Hoi An Market. It offers an unmissable shopping experience. This market is full of sights, colors, sounds, and aromas.
Next, the Fujian Assembly Hall is a colorful complex featuring vibrant gates, dragon statues, and intricate roofs. Gain insight into ancestor worship while visiting the family altar and watching local devotees make offerings.
You will see well-preserved ancient houses: Phung Hung Ancient House or Tan Ky Ancient House - which have stood through 200 years of weather and war. Learn about the wealthy merchants who once lived in these houses and traded with buyers from all over the world.
Afterwards, visit the Hoi An Museum of Folk Culture - where artifacts depicting the ancient daily life of local people are displayed in a 150-year-old Chinese merchant house.
In particular, you will enjoy cultural performances at the Hoi An Traditional Arts Performance House.
Stop at the Japanese Covered Bridge. The bridge spans a small waterway and was built over 400 years ago to connect the Japanese community with the Chinese living across the water. Admire the carvings and paintings inside the bridge, and learn about their symbolism and cultural significance.
