Tour description
Saigon food is best after 6 PM, and best in places tourists rarely find on their own: a 'hu tieu go' noodle cart at the head of an alley, a snail stall that only sets out plastic tables on the sidewalk when it gets dark, a traditional sweet soup stand in an alley just wide enough for a motorbike to pass through.
This tour takes you to exactly those places. Each guest sits on the back of a local guide's motorbike — the mode of transport that nine million Saigonese still use every day — and for about four hours, we stop at five different food spots spanning from District 1 to District 4 and District 5.
What you will eat: a soup dish to start (Nam Vang noodle soup or crab tapioca noodle soup), a grilled dish eaten with locals, affordable snails and seafood in the Vinh Khanh area, a dish from the Chinese community in Cho Lon, and finishing with a dessert along with iced milk coffee or sugarcane juice. All food and drinks on the itinerary are included in the tour price.
Our guides are city residents who order in Vietnamese, know which stalls are open on which days, and will explain to you where the food comes from and why Saigonese eat it that way. This is also an opportunity to ask anything you are curious about the city.
The tour is suitable for first-time visitors to Saigon who want to understand the city through its food, as well as for those who have been here for a while but haven't dared to step into eateries without an English menu. We accept bookings from 1 guest, so you can still depart if you are traveling alone.
Vegetarian, seafood allergies, or any other dietary requirements: let us know before booking, and we will change the dishes on the itinerary accordingly.

18:00 - The guide picks you up at your hotel by motorbike, starting to weave through the brightly lit alleys of Saigon at night. You will stop at 4-5 famous local eateries to enjoy mixed rice paper, snails, tofu noodles, salted coffee... amidst the vibrant atmosphere of the city that never sleeps. End the journey with a refreshing glass of sugarcane juice, taking with you an unforgettable street food experience.
