Detailed itinerary
07:30–08:00 The vehicle and tour guide pick up the group at the meeting point (in the Old Quarter area or near Hanoi Opera House) and depart for a sightseeing tour of Tam Dao. Along the way, the group can admire the scenery of the midland and mountainous region. Tam Dao can be called a sea of clouds, as this mountainous area is always covered in white clouds. Emerging faintly from the misty white landscape are three peaks: Ban Thach (1,388 m), Thien Nhi (1,375 m), and Phu Nghia (1,400 m).
10:00 The group arrives in Tam Dao, with the first sightseeing stop being Cau May. Cau May is known as Tam Dao’s “outdoor studio.” The place is breathtaking whenever the wild sunflowers are in bloom.
11:30 The group boards the vehicle to travel to the central area of Tam Dao Town.
12:00 Enjoy lunch at a restaurant featuring local specialties such as chayote shoots and other mountain delicacies.
13:00 Continue visiting the highlights:
- Tam Dao Square: A colorful area featuring unique architecture.
- Then take photos at Tam Dao Stone Church. Tam Dao Church was built between 1906 and 1912. It is located in the center of Tam Dao Town, beside the road leading to Thien Mountain. The tour guide will lead you up 1,400 stone steps to the summit of Thien Nhi, at the foot of the more than 100-meter-high television tower. Experience the feeling of conquering a peak while breathing in the fresh air of Tam Dao.
- Then follow the route to one of Tam Dao’s most prominent cafés, Gio Café, where you can sip a cup of coffee (at your own expense), admire the panoramic view, and enjoy the fresh air.
16:00 Board the vehicle, bid farewell to Tam Dao, and return to Hanoi.
18:30 Arrive at the original pickup point in Hanoi. End of the one-day Tam Dao tour. See you again.
