Detailed itinerary
07:30 Our vehicle and tour guide will pick up the group at the meeting point in the Old Quarter or at the Hanoi Opera House to begin the trip to Tam Dao.
09:00 Arrive at the Tay Thien scenic area. Take a walk to visit the Mandala Great Stupa, modeled after Indian architecture. Then visit Thong Temple with its nine-root banyan tree. After that, choose one of the following options:
- Option 1: Take a walk to visit Truc Lam Tay Thien Zen Monastery, one of the schools for Buddhist monks and nuns in Vietnam. Visit the Drum Tower, Bell Tower, classrooms, and more. After reaching the highest level of the monastery, you will feel as though you are looking down from Heaven at the earthly realm, enjoying a panorama rarely found anywhere else.
- Option 2: Conquer Tay Thien Peak. Take the cable car and admire the majestic mountains and forests of Tay Thien, as well as Silver Waterfall from the cable car cabin. Upon reaching the cable car station, continue conquering Tay Thien Peak and visit a series of sites such as Co Chin Temple, Mau Dia Temple, Thuong Quoc Mau Temple, the Ancestral Church, a Zen master’s meditation retreat, Tay Thien Pagoda, and finally the Fairy Chessboard at the summit of Tay Thien, along with many other attractions (Tay Thien cable car tickets are not included).
11:30 Have lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, continue by vehicle to Tam Dao.
13:00 Arrive in Tam Dao. Visit and take photos of beautiful sights around the town, such as Tam Dao Central Square and the colorful street with its unique architecture. Take photos at Tam Dao Stone Church, featuring unique architecture and built between 1906 and 1912. It is located in the center of Tam Dao Town, beside the road leading to the summit of Thien Mountain.
14:00 The tour guide will lead you on a walk to visit:
- Tam Dao Silver Waterfall: The path down to Silver Waterfall is not very long, but it is steep and winding. To get there, you must cross stone-paved steps. The path was opened through the mountain, with the mountain on one side and a deep ravine on the other.
- Gio Tam Dao Café: A very famous café where you can sip a hot cup of coffee (at your own expense) and admire the majestic, poetic scenery of this region.
16:00 Gather and board the vehicle to return to Hanoi. Stop to rest along the way.
18:00 Arrive back in Hanoi. On behalf of our company, the tour guide sends greetings and wishes of good health to everyone in the group. We look forward to seeing you again on future trips.

CHILD TICKET PRICES
- Children aged 1‑4 years free (parents cover all costs for the child, no seat occupied on the bus). Two adults may each accompany only one free child; a second child is charged at 75% of the tour price (same standard as paying children).
If one adult travels with one child aged 1‑4 years, the child must purchase a ticket at 50% of the adult fare (receives the same services as a 5‑9‑year‑old child).
- Children aged 5‑9 years are charged 75% of the tour price (separate meal, separate seat on the bus but must share a bed with parents). Two paying children also do not receive a separate bed.
- Children aged 10 years and above are priced as adults.
