Grupo pequeño, máximo 10 huéspedes, completamente a pie.

Jalan Bandar Timah, Ipoh Old Town, Perak
We meet on Jalan Bandar Timah in Ipoh Old Town, outside the row of original kopitiams. Your guide will have a small sign with your name. Ten minutes' walk from Ipoh railway station.
Itinerario detallado
Stop 1 - Ipoh white coffee: The original - beans roasted in palm-oil margarine, pulled with condensed milk, in a kopitiam trading since the 1930s. Your guide explains what makes it white.
Stop 2 - Kaya toast and soft-boiled eggs: Charcoal-toasted bread with coconut jam and cold butter, with two runny eggs, soy sauce and white pepper. The standard Malaysian breakfast, done properly.
Stop 3 - Chicken hor fun: Smooth flat rice noodles in a clear prawn-and-chicken broth with shredded chicken and chives, at a marble-topped kopitiam famous for its mirrored wall.
Stop 4 - Caramel custard: An improbable colonial leftover - a wobbling caramel custard sold beside the noodles, and very good.
Stop 5 - Bean sprout chicken: Poached chicken, a mound of Ipoh's limestone-water bean sprouts with soy and sesame oil, and a bowl of silky rice noodles. The town's signature plate.
Stop 6 - Concubine Lane walk: A guided walk down the narrow alley behind the shophouses, with your guide on the tin-mining families and what the name actually refers to.
Stop 7 - Kaya puffs and tau fu fah: Flaky pastry filled with coconut jam, still warm, and warm soybean pudding in ginger syrup to finish.

Política de cancelación y reembolso
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour start time for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable. Tours run rain or shine; the Old Town has covered five-foot ways.
Otras notas
Runs Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday at 08:00. We do not run on Wednesdays or Thursdays, when several of the anchor kopitiams on this route close - a Wednesday tour would lose three stops at once.
Ipoh Old Town is a morning-only district. The kopitiams close between 14:30 and 16:30 and there is no evening Old Town food route, so we do not offer one.
Getting here: Ipoh is about 2.5 hours from Kuala Lumpur by ETS train, which makes this a comfortable day trip. Ipoh station is a ten-minute walk from the meeting point.
Halal: Ipoh Old Town cooking uses pork and lard. The halal anchor here is nasi ganja, the Indian-Muslim rice plate, and we can build a halal route around it with notice.
Dietary needs: tell us at least 48 hours ahead.
Ipoh has no Michelin Guide coverage, so be sceptical of anyone marketing an Ipoh stall as Bib Gourmand.
Entirely on foot, about 1.5 km on flat streets.
