Tour description
Just about an hour by car from the capital, Takeo Province offers a completely different Cambodia: sprawling rice fields, sugar palms, and ancient temples rarely visited by tourists.
Phnom Chisor is a brick and sandstone temple built in the 11th century on a hilltop. You will climb around 400 steps to reach it and enjoy panoramic views of the plains. Next, visit Tonle Bati, home to the Angkor-era Ta Prohm and Yeay Peau temples, beside a lake where Phnom Penh residents often come for picnics in bamboo huts.
The afternoon is dedicated to the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre, which cares for hundreds of sun bears, Asiatic black bears, elephants, tigers, gibbons, otters, and other animals rescued from the wildlife trade. This tour is suitable for families with children.

Detailed itinerary
Morning (07:30): The vehicle and tour guide pick you up at the hotel, departing for Phnom Chisor (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes).
09:00: Climb the steps to Phnom Chisor Temple and enjoy views of the Takeo countryside.
10:45: Visit Ta Prohm Temple and Yeay Peau Temple at Tonle Bati.
Noon (12:00): Enjoy a local lunch in a bamboo pavilion beside Tonle Bati Lake (grilled fish, grilled chicken, fresh vegetables).
Afternoon (13:30): Visit Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center and learn about its conservation programs.
16:00: Return to Phnom Penh. 17:00: Arrive back at the hotel, ending the tour.

Free cancellation with a 100% refund when notified at least 24 hours before departure. Cancellations made within 24 hours of departure are non-refundable. In the event of bad weather or attraction closures required by the authorities, we can help reschedule the tour or provide a full refund.

Dress code: when visiting temples, pagodas, and the Royal Palace, please wear clothing that covers your shoulders and long trousers/skirts below the knees; sports shoes are recommended because some sections have steep stone steps.
