Tour description
A cycling tour for those looking to conquer the Northwest loop. From Hanoi, you will cycle up along the Red River through Yen Bai to Lao Cai, then climb up to the mountain town of Sa Pa in the Hoang Lien Son range.
The second half of the journey passes through Muong Lay, Tuan Giao, Son La, the Moc Chau tea hills, and a White Thai village in Mai Chau, finishing with an off-road section down to the lowlands to return to Hanoi.

Detailed itinerary
Cycle upstream along the Red River through the midlands to Yen Bai. (L)
Cycle along the Red River Valley to Lao Cai. (B, L)
Climb uphill to Sa Pa, admire the terraced rice fields and Hoang Lien Son mountain range.
Cross O Quy Ho Pass, cycle through villages, and transfer to Muong Lay.
Cycle to Tuan Giao, transfer to Son La.
Cycle across the plateau through tea hills and villages to Moc Chau.
Descend into Mai Chau Valley, stay at a Thai stilt house.
Off-road stretch through rural villages, followed by a transfer to Hanoi.

Cancellation policy
Cancellations at least 30 days prior: 100% deposit refund. Cancellations between 15 and 29 days prior: 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days before departure: non-refundable. In cases of natural disasters, storms, floods, or landslides rendering routes unsafe, the itinerary will be adjusted or rescheduled.
Other notes
Minimum 2 guests, please book at least 1 week in advance. A support vehicle follows throughout so guests can rest or transfer on long stretches. Good fitness and long-distance cycling experience are required. Price: 175 USD/person/day.
