Detailed itinerary
HANOI – BA BE LAKE (LUNCH / DINNER)
07:00 Depart from Hanoi for Ba Be Lake.
09:00 Stop for a break along the way. Guests can relax and have breakfast at their own leisure.
12:00 Arrive at Ba Be. Check in to the homestay in Pac Ngoi Village, then have lunch.
14:00 The tour guide will accompany guests on a walk to the Pac Ngoi pier to board a boat and explore the beauty of Ba Be Lake. Relax while admiring the lake scenery, take photos, and visit the following sites:
- Fairy Pond, covering more than 3,000 m2, is surrounded by limestone mountains and pristine old-growth forests. Its water is clear blue and refreshingly cool. At Fairy Pond, visitors can see footprints on the rocks and hear the legendary story of a hunter and seven fairies.
- An Ma Temple. According to local legend, during the feudal war between the Le and Mac dynasties, Mac generals were defeated and fled to Puong Cave, where they took their own lives at An Ma. In tribute to their loyalty and integrity, local people built a temple dedicated to the Le family, which was later renamed An Ma Temple.
- Ba Goa Island is a charming little island located in the center of the lake and associated with the legend of its formation. The boat stops at Ba Goa Island so that visitors can swim in the lake for about 30 minutes.
17:00 Return to the homestay to shower and relax, or enjoy a cup of coffee in the late afternoon.
18:30 Have dinner and spend the night in Ba Be. In the evening, guests can participate in cultural performances, enjoy a campfire, or watch a traditional Then singing performance by the Tay people (at their own expense).

BA BỂ – HUA MA CAVE – TAT MA WATERFALL – HANOI (BREAKFAST / LUNCH)
07:00 Guests get up for breakfast, after which the tour guide will accompany them by bicycle, motorbike, or car, depending on the number of guests each day, to visit the magnificent Hua Ma Cave. On the way, guests will stop at Lèng Market, a small market of the Tay ethnic people (the market is held on the 3rd, 8th, 13th, 18th, 23rd, and 28th days of the lunar month). After that, guests will continue sightseeing at:
- Hua Ma Cave – one of the impressive natural wonders of the Ba Bể Lake area, preserving the mysterious beauty of limestone with sparkling stalactites that create remarkable shapes. Upon entering the cave, visitors will be captivated by its quiet, cool atmosphere and the gentle sound of water dripping from the stalactites, creating a magical ambiance. Large rock formations in many strange shapes, combined with natural light filtering through openings, make you feel as though you have wandered into a mysterious world of nature.
- Tát Mạ Waterfall, with crystal-clear water cascading from above, creating a beautiful and pristine natural landscape. - Overnight stay in a private room at a stilt-house homestay in Pac Ngoi Village, for 2 people per room (in case of an odd number, 3 people will share a room). If a solo traveler cannot be paired with another guest, an additional fee of VND 100,000 per room per night for a private room will be required throughout the tour.
- 03 main meals according to the itinerary (3–4 main dishes, 2 vegetable dishes, rice, and soup), with breakfast served at the stilt house.
- Entrance ticket to Ba Be National Park (VND 25,000 per guest)
- Boat trip around Ba Be Lake; bamboo raft rowing service is free during summer
