Tour description
Opposite Phnom Penh’s bustling city center are lush green islands in the Mekong River, where life still moves at the leisurely pace of several decades ago. A half-day cycling tour is the easiest way to explore this world.
You will take a local ferry with residents and their motorbikes to the island, then cycle approximately 20–25 km along narrow concrete and dirt roads, passing wooden stilt houses, vegetable fields, mango orchards, and free-grazing cattle. Your guide will stop at a local family’s handicraft workshop or a palm sugar drink stall, and at a village pagoda featuring murals depicting Buddhist stories.
The route is flat and the pace is leisurely, making it suitable for most people who know how to ride a bicycle. Morning and afternoon tours are available.
