Tour description
To understand Cambodia today, it is essential to learn about the period of the Khmer Rouge regime (1975–1979), when approximately 1.5–2 million people lost their lives. This half-day tour takes you to two of the most important memorial sites in Phnom Penh.
Tuol Sleng Museum was originally a secondary school before being transformed into the S-21 security prison. The cells, records, and thousands of prisoner portraits have been preserved as historical evidence. At Choeung Ek, approximately 15 km from the city center, the memorial stupa houses thousands of victims’ skulls; multilingual audio guides help you learn about each stop in the peaceful surroundings.
This is an educational and commemorative tour and is not suitable for young children. The guide will present the historical context objectively and respectfully.
There are two departure times: morning or afternoon.
