Hoi An is one of Vietnam’s renowned food cities, and many of its best dishes are prepared outside the ancient town, in family kitchens and roadside eateries where locals usually dine. On this evening Vespa tour, you’ll ride pillion to these places as the sun sets over the rice fields.
We begin with bánh xèo and nem lụi—crispy pancakes and lemongrass pork skewers wrapped in rice paper with herbs from Tra Que—at a family-run restaurant in the countryside, then continue to a local riverside seafood eatery to enjoy clams, squid, or fish, depending on the day’s catch. On the way back toward the central area, we sample cơm gà, Hoi An’s famous turmeric chicken rice, and bánh mì from one of the stalls that helped make the city famous. The Vespas stop at the edge of the ancient town, and we finish with a walk along the Thu Bon River as lanterns and floating flower lanterns illuminate the water.

Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable. If heavy rain, a storm warning, or an official road closure makes travel unsafe, we will reschedule or provide a full refund.
Other notes
Safety: you ride pillion—guests never drive themselves. All drivers are experienced local residents with Vietnamese driving licences; drivers do not drink alcohol during the tour (Vietnam applies a zero-tolerance policy to drink-driving). By law, each vehicle carries one guest; parents may ride with children under 12.
Approved helmets (with chin straps fastened) and rain ponchos are provided. Personal accident insurance is included.
The minimum age to ride separately behind a driver is 6. Please wear closed-toe shoes and inform us if you have back or neck problems or are pregnant.
Motorbikes are not permitted in the central area of Hoi An Ancient Town in the evening; this part of the tour will be done on foot.
A vegetarian version can be provided with 48 hours’ advance notice.
September to December is flood season; the riverside section may change.
