Tour description
Hoi An's ancient town is famous, but this town was originally just a market serving the surrounding craft villages — villages of farmers, fishermen, carpenters, and potters that are still active today. A vintage Vespa is the ideal way to connect these places: the roads are narrow, flat, and shaded, while the scooters fit perfectly into the scenery.
You will ride pillion behind an experienced driver. We begin in Tra Que, where families have grown vegetables and herbs for centuries on plots fertilized with seaweed from the river, while also trying your hand at a little gardening. We take a local ferry to Kim Bong, a carpentry village whose craftsmen built and continue to restore the wooden houses in the ancient town, then visit the potters in Thanh Ha, where clay has been fired beside the river for 500 years. The morning ends in Cam Thanh, where fishermen take you through the nipa palm canals in a thung chai, a round bamboo boat, before stopping to enjoy coconut coffee.

Stop 2 - Tra Que Vegetable Village (around 08:20): Visit vegetable and herb gardens and enjoy a short gardening experience with a local farmer.
Stop 3 - Kim Bong Carpentry Village (around 09:15): Take a local ferry to the woodworking and boat-building area.
Stop 4 - Thanh Ha Pottery Village (around 10:15): Watch artisans shape pottery on a wheel and see the kilns along the river.
Stop 5 - Cam Thanh Water Coconut Forest (around 11:00): Travel by basket boat through the coconut waterways.

Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable. If heavy rain, a storm warning, or an official road closure makes travel unsafe, we will reschedule or provide a full refund.
Other notes
Safety: you travel as a passenger (riding pillion) — guests never drive themselves. All drivers are experienced local residents with Vietnamese driver's licenses and do not drink alcohol during the tour (Vietnam has a zero-tolerance policy for blood alcohol levels). Each vehicle carries one guest in accordance with the law; parents may ride with children under 12.
Approved helmets (with chin straps fastened) and rain ponchos are provided. Personal accident insurance is included.
The minimum age to ride separately behind a driver is 6 years old. Please wear closed-toe shoes and inform us if you have back or neck problems or are pregnant.
Motorbikes are prohibited in the central area of Hoi An Ancient Town during the day; for hotels in the ancient town, the tour starts and ends at the edge of the pedestrian zone.
Life jackets are provided for the basket-boat ride.
September to December is the flood season in Hoi An; villages and ferry services may be affected, and the itinerary may change.
