Detailed itinerary
MORNING: HANOI – WEST YEN TU (Lunch)
06:30 Our tour guide and vehicle pick you up at the meeting point. Then depart for Bac Giang, stopping along the way for breakfast (at your own expense).
09:00 The group visits the West Yen Tu Relic Site - featuring attractions such as the Imperial Citadel, Ha Pagoda, Thuong Pagoda, and Dong Pagoda... You will take a cable car ride from Ha Temple to Thuong Temple with a total length of 2.1 km (at your own expense).
Afterwards, you continue to Dong Pagoda, also known as Thien Truc Pagoda. Dong Pagoda is located on the peak of Yen Tu Mountain at an altitude of 1,068 m. In 2007, Dong Pagoda set a record as the largest bronze pagoda in Vietnam.
11:30 The group has lunch at a restaurant featuring Bac Giang specialties. Then rest and relax on-site before continuing the spiritual tour journey.
AFTERNOON: VINH NGHIEM PAGODA - TRUC LAM PHUONG HOANG ZEN MONASTERY - HANOI
13:30 The group visits Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, the birthplace of the Three Founders of the Truc Lam Zen Buddhist sect in Vietnam. This place preserves an ancient set of Buddhist woodblocks spanning 10 compartments. Dating back 700 years, these woodblocks constitute an invaluable literary repository, historically known as the 'woodblock library.' You are free to offer incense and tour the scenic pagoda grounds.
15:00 The group visits Truc Lam Phuong Hoang Zen Monastery - an architectural and cultural artwork dedicated to preserving, honoring, and promoting the intangible values of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect.
16:30 The group gathers at the meeting point and boards the vehicle to return to Hanoi. On the way back, there will be a stop for you to purchase Bac Giang specialties: Chu noodles and Ke rice crackers as gifts for family and friends!
