Detailed itinerary
08:15 Our vehicle and tour guide will pick you up at the meeting point and depart for the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground defense system in Cu Chi District, 70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City.
This system was dug by the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam during the Indochina War and the Vietnam War. The tunnel complex includes infirmaries, living quarters, kitchens, storage facilities, workrooms, and an underground tunnel network.
The tunnel system stretches approximately 200 km and features ventilation systems hidden within bushes. The tunnels were constructed on an area known as the "Steel Land", located at the terminus of the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
During the 1968 Tet Offensive, the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam utilized this tunnel system to launch attacks on Saigon.
Visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels, you will learn how Vietnamese guerrillas built, lived, and fought in the tunnels, as well as watch precious war documentary footage showing how the Vietnamese soldiers and people overcame advanced, modern weapons solely with their national determination.
You will witness handmade primitive weapons and bamboo spike traps firsthand, crawl through the tunnels, and watch local people making rice paper and rice wine.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to try shooting real guns at the tunnel's firing range.
14:00 Depart back to the city. The vehicle drops you off at the initial pick-up point, concluding the Cu Chi 1-Day Tour. On behalf of the company, our tour guide thanks you, bids farewell, and looks forward to seeing you on future tours.
