Detailed itinerary
MORNING: HANOI – WESTERN YEN TU (LUNCH INCLUDED)
06:30 Our company’s vehicle and tour guide pick you up at the meeting point and depart for the one-day Bac Giang tour.
07:00 Depart for Bac Giang. En route, there will be a rest stop where you can have breakfast (at your own expense).
09:00 The group visits the Tay Yen Tu Relic Complex, including the Imperial Citadel, Lower Pagoda, Upper Pagoda, and Bronze Pagoda. You will take a cable car from the Lower Temple to the Upper Temple, covering a total distance of 2.1 km (at your own expense).
After that, continue to Dong Pagoda, also known as Thien Truc Pagoda. Dong Pagoda is located on Yen Tu Mountain at an altitude of 1,068 m. In 2007, Dong Pagoda was recognized as the largest bronze pagoda in Vietnam.
11:30 The group has lunch at a restaurant featuring Bac Giang specialties. Afterwards, relax at the restaurant.
AFTERNOON: VINH NGHIEM PAGODA – PHUONG HOANG TRUC LAM ZEN MONASTERY – HANOI
13:30 The group visits Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, the birthplace of the three patriarchs of the Truc Lam Zen school of Vietnamese Buddhism. The pagoda also preserves an ancient collection of wooden printing blocks occupying up to 10 rooms. These printing blocks date back 700 years and constitute an extremely valuable library, known in the past as the wooden scripture repository. You are free to offer incense and explore the pagoda grounds.
15:00 The group visits Phuong Hoang Truc Lam Zen Monastery, an architectural and artistic cultural complex established to preserve, honor, and promote the intangible values of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen tradition.
16:30 The group gathers at the meeting point, boards the vehicle, and departs for Hanoi. On the way back, there will be a rest stop where you can buy Bac Giang specialties, including Chu noodles and Ke rice crackers, as gifts for family and friends!
