Detailed itinerary
06:00 Our vehicle and tour guide pick up the group at the meeting point and depart for the Bến Tre Eco-Discovery Tour at Vàm Hồ Tourism Area. Along the way, the guide will get acquainted with the group, organize fun games on the vehicle, and introduce visitors to the attractions on the itinerary as well as the Mekong Delta region.
07:30 The group stops to rest, have breakfast, and take commemorative photos of the trip.
08:30 The group visits the Nguyễn Thị Định Memorial House, honoring Vietnam’s first female military officer to be promoted to general, a Hero of the People’s Armed Forces, and an exemplary figure in the national liberation movement. She was a native of Giồng Trôm, and the memorial temple is located in her hometown of Lương Hòa, featuring a bronze bust presented by the Ministry of National Defence.
09:30 The group continues to visit and offer incense at the Đồ Chiểu Memorial Temple. He was a great poet of the Cochinchina region in the late 19th century and the author of the famous narrative poem Lục Vân Tiên. His grave is located today in An Đức, Ba Tri, Bến Tre, beside that of his late wife within the 1.5-hectare temple grounds.
The temple was built in 1972 and restored in 2000 in the traditional communal-house and pagoda architectural style, with yin-yang tiled roofs. A notable feature is the stele praising his contributions.
12:00 The group arrives at Sân Chim Vàm Hồ Bến Tre Eco-Tourism Farm, considered the largest bird sanctuary in the Mekong Delta. It is home to many bird species and is located beside the tranquil Ba Lai River.
