In 1849, Venerable Huệ Đăng from Giác Lâm Pagoda in Gia Định became its abbot and initiated the construction of the pagoda. Originally, the pagoda was named Vĩnh Trường, conveying the wish for eternal harmony between mountains and rivers and everlasting existence between heaven and earth. Over time, local residents have continued to commonly call it “Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda.” The pagoda has been recognized as a national historical and cultural monument and is a renowned pilgrimage and tourist destination. Its architecture combines diverse Asian and European styles, including French, Roman, Thai, Khmer, and Cham influences.
17:00 The group arrives in Ho Chi Minh City. Our tour guide, on behalf of the company, thanks guests, bids them farewell, and looks forward to welcoming them again on future programs.
