Detailed itinerary
06:00 Our company’s vehicle and tour guide pick you up at the meeting point, beginning the one-day Hưng Yên tour. Visit the attractions included in the tour in sequence.
06:30 Depart for Hưng Yên, one of the localities in Vietnam renowned for its famous Buddhist sites.
08:30 Arrive in Hưng Yên. The group offers incense and prays for good fortune at the following sites:
- Đa Hòa Temple is dedicated to Chử Đồng Tử, one of the “Four Immortals” in Vietnamese beliefs. The temple has a spacious setting shaded by lush, centuries-old trees, seemingly affirming the saying “where the land is blessed, birds gather”—this is indeed a sacred place.
- Hóa Dạ Trạch Temple. The temple features a feudal architectural layout known as “front nhất, rear đinh,” divided into three areas: the front worship hall, central sanctuary, and rear shrine. The grounds are divided into three sections: the left and right side halls and the main shrine, with a distinctive screen, jade well, and bronze bell.
- Mẫu Temple, also known as Hoa Dương Linh Từ or Mậu Dương Temple, is located in Hưng Yên City within the Phố Hiến historical complex. The temple worships Lady Dương Quý Phi, formerly the wife of a Song Dynasty emperor. Renowned for its sacredness, the temple is situated right beside Bán Nguyệt Lake, which also attracts visitors who enjoy pedal boating or admiring the unique beauty of its clear green waters.
11:30 Enjoy Hưng Yên specialties such as Đông Tảo chicken.
Afternoon: Visit traditional craft villages:
- Thủ Sỹ fish-trap weaving village: The craft of weaving traditional fish traps in Thủ Sỹ Commune has been passed down from generation to generation, with children being introduced to the craft from an early age. These traps are made from bamboo and mature reeds and are traditional fishing tools used in the Northern Delta of Vietnam. Visiting Thủ Sỹ, tourists can also admire old dark-brown tiled roofs, winding village lanes lined with roadside banana trees, bamboo groves, haystacks, and fields of green mustard plants dotted with bright yellow flowers, while experiencing fish-trap weaving alongside local residents.
- Nghĩa Trai Medicinal Herb Village: From common plants such as perilla and Vietnamese balm to valuable medicinal herbs such as chrysanthemum flowers and desmodium, the area offers a wealth of botanicals. All year round, simply reaching the entrance to the village is enough to sense the pleasant fragrance of medicinal herbs. From farmland to small plots along the roads, medicinal plants grow lush and green everywhere. Visit the village to see and learn about rare and valuable medicinal plants.
16:00 End the New Year incense-offering journey. Guests board the vehicle and return to Hanoi.
16:30 Arrive in Hanoi, concluding the journey to Hưng Yên. We look forward to welcoming you on our next programs!
